Apprentice Auto Body Technician

Are you an apprentice working towards getting your Journeyman status as an Autobody Technician?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Auto Body Technician to join our team at Fix Auto Airdrie. As an apprentice, you will be working under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn the trade and gain hands-on experience in repairing vehicles. If you're passionate about the automotive industry and want to build a career in auto body repair, this is an excellent opportunity for you!  Wages will be based on the level/year of your apprenticeship and will increase as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairing vehicle bodies, frames, and other components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, priming, and applying filler.
• Follow repair instructions, diagrams, and estimates.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Continuously learn and develop skills through on-the-job training.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registration with the Apprentice and Industry Training in Alberta is preferred.
• All level of apprentices will be considered.
• A genuine interest in automotive repair and technology.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
• Prior experience in auto body repair is a bonus but not required
